Lorissa Manners is a career musician and has taught hundreds of students over the last 20 years.
Many of her students came with ambitions to explore a variety of styles, learn the great old compositions of brilliant composers such as Beethoven and Debussy, and become fluent enough in skill to play piano performances at schools, eisteddfods, church occasions or for family and friends.
Lorissa has developed incredible courses and songbook collections for each step of the music learning journey.
Whether helping students improvise, play more rhythmically, develop their ear and musical sensitivity or be trained in advanced practise techniques to become professional musicians themselves, Lorissa has provided excellence in music education to accomodate for all these needs.
Regardless of the motivation, Lorissa has carefully laid the ground work for students to experience some of the most beautiful piano pieces ever composed, and many of her own compositions are found within these collections, because as artist's we know that every great performance starts with incredible music!

Mission
Lorissa will help you develop skills in various out-of-the-box musical styles, or help you move up through the traditional AMEB grading system.

Lorissa offers a bridge between the contemporary music of modern improvised styles - and the rich cultured world of classical music with all its flair of artistry.
She also brings creativity and specialised instruction in theory, composition, song-craft & songwriting skills to help you create your own music.
Vision
Lorissa's lessons are creative and innovative, fuelling the students intrinsic passion for music learning. They can cover a broad range of styles, genres and techniques.
They are designed to help students find their unique flare as a creative artist, developing their own style, while holding true to the riggers of classical techniques and training.
Lorissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and has been blessed to have trained under incredible instructors (pianist/organists), such as Dr David Clarke and awarding winning educator David Redfern.
